    Poems

Here's a new poem to celebrate the opening of a new secondhand bookshop in Lowestoft's High Street on the 5th December 2020. The shop is called 'paper-works* books & prints' and has been opened by Lisa Hurcum & Hugh Davies. The poem was created and edited by Dean Parkin who gathered contributions online, asking people for a line about a favourite book and a memory about reading it. Over 100 lines were submitted and the handwritten poem is over 6 feet tall and can be seen in the new bookshop. The poem is recorded here by me with an accompanying slideshow featuring photos by Bishy Barnabee Photography of the launch of the bookshop
