A warm welcome to my little corner of the web. I've started to freshen up this site in recent months and I'll be adding some more bits and pieces throughout 2012, so do have a quick click around while you're here.

SCHOOLS' MUSIC PROJECT 2011/12 
In October and November 2011 I teamed up again with composer Fraser Trainer as part of a music project in four schools in Croydon and Sutton. During the course of each of the mornings - while Fraser worked with the students on the music side of things - I worked with children to create group poems which I then subequently fashioned into songs and handed over to Fraser to set them to music (with Fraser tweaking the words along the way). We'll end up with a song from each of the schools which will be performed at the Fairfield Hall in Croydon on Friday 4 May with a 200-strong childrens' choir (gleaned from the four schools) and an orchestra. WARE POETS
I am delighted to be judging this year's Ware Poets Open Poetry Competion (deadline 30 April 2012). I'm also pleased to be returning to Ware in July to read my own poems as part of the Competition winners evening. They are one of the best audiences to read to - you can really feel them listening.  And
